NBC Narrow Belt ConveyorTGW's Narrow Belt Conveyor (NBC™) is a belt-driven live-roller conveyor that can be configured into zero-pressure contact accumulation and transportation conveyor using CRUZchannel frame and common drive components. This versatility results in equipment, installation, and overall cost-of-ownership savings. Drive costs are also cut by NBC's ability to power up to four v-belt sections off either end of the conveyor.
CRUZcontrol logic modules are set in the field with the simple press of a button to switch between basic and progressive (train) logic. NBC also incorporates direct-drive belts powered with 97% efficient gear motors, factory welded joint connections on each bed, and top-align photo mounts.
Ideal Applications
Distribution center applications where zero-pressure, dense pack, contact accumulation for variable product size and weight.
Performance Parameters
- Product weight range: 1 oz. to 50 lbs. per foot
- Minimum product length: 6"
- Speed Range: 70 FPM to 230 FPM
Key Benefits
- Innovative direct-drive system provides high efficiency for long lengths, reducing energy consumption and noise
- Less maintenance as no chain is used
- Laced drive belts on shorter units eliminates belt welding
- Real-time adjustable belt tensioning reduces down time and maintenance
- Pre-wired, plumbed electrical and pneumatic components for ease of installation
- Adjustable product performance through switchable logic modules
- Pre-installed belts on curves and spurs with a 21" inside curve radius
- V-belt-driven curves or spurs of any combination may be powered off a slave drive from either end of NBC unit
- Smaller product conveyability through tight pack rollers on curves and spurs
- Curve accumulation on tru-taper rollers
- Electronic sensing removes all product weight restrictions
- Multiple drive options to optimize cost
- Unique CRUZchannel frame design protects electronic and pneumatic components
