Software

The COMMANDER Warehouse Control System (WCS) is a suite of software products that provide advanced management capabilities to maximize distribution center performance. Real-time data is utilized to manage routing, orders, inventory, diagnostics and statistics. COMMANDER WCS communicates with the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and material handling systems.

COMMANDER WCS is modular, easily configurable and platform independent. The scaleable architecture makes it a good choice for any size distribution center. Proven implementation methodology ensures expedited startups, lower total cost of ownership, and quicker ROI (return on investment).

OMS - Order Management System

The OMS provides the funtionality necessary to properly and efficiently execute the order fulfillment process. This robust module facilitates the planning, processing, verifying, and shipping of orders within the warehouse or distribution center.

Plan-
Planning orders for optimized picking is the most essential aspect in the order fulfillment process. OMS is a configurable tool that allows orders to be streamlined for picking efficiency. Utilizing the Wave Planner and Scheduling functions, the most efficient picking technique will be determined whether you are processing single line/single quantity orders, multiple line orders, or ship alone orders.

Process-
Orders that are processed through OMS may be picked utilizing various technologies. Pick tasks can be accomplished using a combination of manual and/or automated solutions such as pick tickets, carousels, Pick-to-Light (PTL), and RF terminals. OMS also allows for multiple picking methods such as Batch Picks, Cluster Picks, and Order Picks. OMS tracks the status of the order thoughout the process and provides real time management statistics.

Verify-
OMS functionality also included Order Verification and Packing tools. Verifying carton contents, the weight of the container and producing the necessary packing documents ensures increased customer satisfaction.

Ship-
The Shipment process is accomplished through the SMS module.

IMS - Inventory Management System

IMS™ uses state of the art technology to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse operations and data integrity. IMS manages all of your item numbers and warehouse locations. The major inventory events which IMS encompasses include bar code label printing, receiving, put-away, cycle counting, picking and replenishment.

SMS - Shipment Management System

SMS is a software tool that provides reliable parcel and LTL shipment manifesting. Powered by ConnectShip, SMS is integrated into your normal operation and streamlines your daily shipping routines.

Label printing, carrier-compliant documentation, and email notification are just some of the tasks that may be completed with SMS. SMS supports shipping in North America and Europe and includes manifesting with the following carriers: UPS, USPS, LTL, DHL, Purolator, Canada Post, and Canpar.

Navigator

The core of Enterprise is the Navigator. The Navigator directs real-time data management and interface responsibilities of the material handling system as well as provides common user interface screens for monitoring, control and diagnostics.

As a focal point for managing the operational aspects of the TGW material handling system, Navigator provides the critical link between the non-real-time host and the real-time Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based material handling system. It coordinates the various real-time control devices to accomplish the daily workload. At each decision point, Navigator determines the most efficient routing of the product and transmits directives to the Commander Controllers to achieve the desired result.

Toolkit

The Toolkit is a multi-purpose module within the Enterprise software solution. It offers all of the interface technology necessary for communicating with host Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Commander Material Handling systems as well as reports, diagnostics and statistics which are essential to operating a distribution facility.

Provided in real-time, these tools assist operators and managers to work in a proactive rather than reactive environment ensuring quality throughput and on-time delivery.
